The Harris Pye Group has carried out numerous projects involving the direct replacement of damaged or corroded steelworks in a variety of vessels. The majority of the skilled labour comes from Eastern Europe however the management teams are generally British this offers commercial advantages but does not compromise quality.

Yard Services
The practice of European Shipyards employing large numbers of men has given way to yards only employing small squads of supervisors or managers. With the demise if this practice we have for some time been supplying additional labour to various yards when required. We are able to offer two options either fixed price works or works carried out on day work.

Riding Squads
Harris Pye have been supplying steel repair squads to sail on ships for many years and have a sound knowledge and understanding of this aspect of marine engineering and ship repair. All squads will be managed with a repair manager and supervised from head office.

Fixed Price Turnkey Solutions
Recently we completed the conversion of a general cargo ship into dredger and have installed approximately eighty tonnes of steel to Class Approved Standards. The vessel was dry docked by Harris Pye where all of the underwater damaged steel was renewed. All of this work was completed as a fixed price Turnkey Solution.
