Installation

Harris Pye (BEK) has a great deal of experience of installing equipment on ships worldwide and working to tight deadlines.

Many installations are carried out during ships refit periods and only limited time is available before the ship enters service again. This requires expert planning and preparation to ensure that the work progresses smoothly.

Due to many clients requiring turnkey packages, it is common for Harris Pye (BEK) to work with other companies within the Group on large projects which greatly aids the planning and execution of extensive workscopes. However many contracts are stand alone and require integration with the client's other contractors.

A necessary feature of modern shipping practices is that sections of an installation project, or in fact the whole project, may be undertaken with the ship in service by a riding squad of engineers and fabricators. Harris Pye (BEK) technicians are well versed in this practice and we have personnel on standby to travel at short notice for urgent work as well as reserve of personnel to work at sea for extended periods on scheduled projects.
